Carroll County Fresh! is a sustainable agriculture initiative that aims to give the residents of Carroll County access to fresh, affordable, high-quality, locally-grown food and food products. We hold in common the holistic goals of sustainable agriculture: integrating environmental health, boosting economic profits and promoting social and economic equity.

Our aim is to support small-scale producers, farmers’ market vendors and value-added processors by providing access to resources and technical assistance. We facilitate partnerships and collaborations to sustain local agriculture and increase family farm incomes. Our member growers and producers sell a wide range of organic and naturally grown products including vegetables, fruits, plants, meat and poultry.

We consider the impact of our plans and practices not only on our local farms, environment, and community, but also on communities and environments worldwide. We believe sustainability depends on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Wise management of natural and human resources is of prime importance. Our projects, policies, and actions express concern for the working and living conditions of laborers, the needs of rural communities, food security, consumer health and safety. We consider both the present and future impact of all that we do.

WHERE WE ARE

Located in the northwest corner of the "Natural State,” Carroll County is a vibrant part of the Arkansas Ozarks, an ecology that supports a variety of small-scale farms and producers.
