FARMERS MARKETS

We have three farmers markets in Carroll County: Berryville, Eureka Springs, and Holiday Island.

Eureka Springs Farmers Market
Established February 2004. This open-air market takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays (April to mid-October) 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Thursdays from mid-April – Thanksgiving. Located on Hwy 23 South, one block south of the Hwy 23/Hwy 62 junction at the old Anita Bryant theater.

Membership is open to permanent residents of Carroll County and counties in any state that are not more than two counties away from Carroll County. All products offered for sale by members must be grown or produced on property owned or rented and maintained year-round by the member. The market welcomes produce, plants, cut flowers, value-added products (processed foods and other items) and crafts.

Berryville Farmers Market
The oldest farmers market in Carroll County, the Berryville Farmers Market was conceived at the Berryville Drug Store soda fountain by Marcie Brewster and Diane Schumacher (Wildfire Farm) in 1996. Initial encouragement came from Dr. Merlin Leach of the Merlin Foundation and the enthusiastic and tireless support of David Bell of Braswell’s Printing, the members of the Downtown Merchants Association (Sally Phillips of De’s Fashions, Jim Newell of Quality Tire, Robert West of First National Bank, florist Donna Kay, Bev and Mike of The Ozark Café) and Berryville mayor Tim McKinney.

Diane Schumacher relates, “Those dedicated Downtown Merchants gave us carte blanche to do whatever we thought necessary.  They entrusted us with our desire: lay a foundation based on mutual respect  and create an environment that lent itself to aesthetic appeal and quality.  We were enchanted with the small town confidence in our efforts. After all the preliminary meetings, customary hand-shaking and city council approval, we organized our first vendor's meeting and opened the Berryville Market on May 15, 1998.”

The Berryville Market meets twice weekly on the Berryville Square in downtown Berryville, Tuesdays from 2 – 6 pm and Saturdays, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. CCF! member growers continue to provide a colorful array of produce, flowers, plants, candles, honey and other products and crafts from April to November.

Holiday Island Farmers Market
We are small but growing. We offer in-season produce every Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. We hope to enlist vendors from Holiday Island, AR, Eagle Rock, Golden, and Carr Lane, MO.

Located on Hwy 23 across from the Citgo station next to the Information Center at the main entrance to the Holiday Island gated community.
